HOW TO STYLE: YELLOW

Yellow fever?...Close to it, right? This is my most recent shoot with Sean Dougherty and probably my favorite by far. I'm already a sucker for monochrome looks, so an all yellow outfit with a yellow backdrop had me gone.

I made a quick video on how I incorporate yellow into my personal style. We all know it's a harder color to style due to the fact it can turn a whole look super loud, super quickly. Here are a few tips that will hopefully persuade you wear more yellow!

Stripes

I find myself being more into nautical colors the past few months. My favorite color to wear is already navy, so adding a bit of red is easily done. I paired fat and skinny stripes together. The thicker stripes are in my top, while the thinner stripes are in my pants.

Panorama NYC 2018

The first ever music festival I have been to was Bonnaroo a few years ago in Manchester, TN.
This summer, I had the ultimate pleasure of attending Panorama in NYC on Randall's Island. A different experience, for sure, but none the less, absolutely amazing!

As expected, it was quite hot. So, for my look I went with a red strapless top and took it in a monochrome approach by pairing it with a red skort and the red Mickey Mouse fanny pack.

I vlogged about this hectic and adventurous day on my Youtube Channel. Please subscribe, if you haven't already! ^_^

As for my makeup, I tried to go the 'festival route' with the stars and jewels. I think the outcome came out pretty nice!

An enormous thank you goes to HP for taking me to Panorama!

New York Fashion Week: Men's Spring/Summer 2018

Spring/Summer NYFW season is probably far worse than the Fall/Winter. I was drowning in my own sweat walking to and from Skylight Clarkson and Cadillac House.

I have made part 1 of SS18 into a vlog on my Youtube Channel, with part 2 coming soon. Subscribe to stay updated!

There were a lot of returning designers this season with some newcomers. I am going to show you a few favorites from the runways of New York Fashion Week: Men's.
Note: I noticed more purple and camo print on the catwalk!

New York Fashion Week: Men's Spring/Summer 2018 - Outfits

New and returning designers, this New York Fashion Week: Men's was another fun season. The majority of the shows were held at Skylight Clarkson and Cadillac House with the starting of New York Men's Day being held at Dune Studios. The street style from the guests were fantastic! Kudos to anyone who wore more than one layer because the temperature was ridiculously hot.

I posted a vlog on my Youtube Channel for the first two days. Please subscribe and check the rest of my videos!

The more I pay attention to menswear overseas, i.e. LCM etc., the more I get inspired to tweak my own personal style. During NYFWM, I got interviewed and a question that stuck out was to describe my style. I wasn't sure on what to say because I feel like it is forever changing. My response was, 'tomboy chic'. Is that even a thing? I'm not too sure. Here are my looks for the fashion week of New York giving you tomboy chic.

New York Men's Day is always the casual look because everything is a presentation. I kept it simple with an all white look accessorized with primary colors.

White textured shorts: c/o Oasap
Gold booties: Office London
Yellow neckerchief: Thrift Store
Red Purse: Random store in Vegas
Blue double buckle belt: Barami
The long slide slights made it feel so breezy, it felt like I was wearing shorts.
White criss cross top: c/o Shop Lately
Navy/Oranage loose striped pants: c/o Light In The Box
Dark brown boots: Thrift Store
Black/gold box purse: Barami
The cords/strings were actually a DIY. I got inspired by the menswear S/S18 collection from 22/04 Hommes.
Army green strapless crop top: Asos
Army green trousers: My grandmother's
Brown/Orange suede/cork boots: Zara
Camo fanny pack: Zara
I'm not usually the one to dress 'hypebeast', but honestly I love that category of style. I may or may not start dressing more in streetwear brands.

10 Year Vegi-versary!

It has been a solid 10 years since I have become vegetarian. July 1, 2007 was the official date. It's crazy how I lasted that long and is still going strong. Now, living in New York City has definitely made it somewhat easier because there's so many people that live here that the vegan/vegetarian community is actually quite large. So, there's plenty of vegan restaurants and a section in the grocery stores for meat-less products. It's wonderful!

To celebrate my 10 year anniversary, I went to a cute little vegan restaurant called, V Spot on St. Marks and later, topped it off with vegan ice cream at Van Leeuwen.

Watch my vlog episode over this day and why I became a veghead:

Chattanooga, Tennessee

Living in New York, there is no actual fresh air. It is always nice to go home to Tennessee for a little bit to get some. While there, I decided to take a tiny road trip to Chattanooga, where my cousin and his girlfriend lives. The town is so cute and quaint! Their mountains are definitely a sight for sore eyes; absolutely breathtaking.

That's one thing I miss about the south - the nature. They took me to Sunset Rock to see the overview of the city and then around town, which only took half of the day because it's so small.

Check out my vlog for more in depth adventures!
